Alan Sheppard, Non-Executive Director

Alan is a senior consultant with 50 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with roles spanning across commercial, general management and strategy in different leadership assignments. Alan started his career as a medical rep in erstwhile Upjohn, and then progressively moved to roles as product / marketing manager and then marketing director within branded pharmaceuticals (Smith Kline, Servier, Rhone-Poulenc Rorer and Medeva). He then changed tracks and switched to generic pharmaceuticals working with Pliva (now Teva) and Dr. Reddy’s as head of their European generics’ operations. Prior to going independent, Alan spent 10yrs as Principal, Thought Leadership with IQVIA (IMS) focusing on providing insights to companies in the generic and biosimilar space on the development and implementation of strategies related to portfolio management, geographical expansion and increasing global access to medicines.
